Okavango Delta Afternoon Game Drive – Part 1

By mutual consent, our group agreed to cut our mokoro expedition short so we could go out to see a male lion, which had been spotted earlier that day with a fresh buffalo kill. We spotted kudus, giraffes and elephants along the way.

Here’s what we came to see – a male lion, along with two lionesses and several cubs! We spent about 40-45 minutes with this lion family. These pictures show them napping (some flat on their backs), walking around, playing and getting a snack from the buffalo carcass.
