After a brief rest to the lodge, we divided into small groups and took turns taking a helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta. This was not my first helicopter ride, but it was the first on a helicopter without doors! And I sat in the front seat! I was strapped in well, and the pilot was very experienced, so I soon got over my initial apprehension. It was an interesting experience to fly over the Delta and see hippos, antelopes, elephants and zebras – and our lodge – from the air.
